Winter Scavenger Hunt for first and second graders

A scavenger hunt is like a game. You use the internet to find answers. Use a pencil and the paper you got from your teacher.

Click on the hyperlinks below to get started.

1. Search for the winter words in the list. Circle them with your cursor when you find them. Write down three more winter words in the space below.

2. Build a snowman here (http://www.primarygames.com/seasons/winter/snowman/start.htm). Write down four things that you used to make your snowman.

3. Here is a memory game with arctic animals http://www.mnh.si.edu/arctic/game/. Watch carefully! When you find a match, you'll see a fun fact about the animal. Write down one fact that you find.

4. Make a very cool snowflake here http://www.explorelearning.com/index.cfm?method=cResource.dspView&ResourceID=46. Choose your scissor size and start cutting! After you have designed your snowflake, go to the back of the room and start cutting a real one!

5. Solve this puzzle http://www.billybear4kids.com/holidays/winter/puzzles/jigsaw/8p.html by dragging the pieces to where they belong.

6. After solving the polar bear puzzle, click here to find some information about polar bears. Write down a fact about a polar bear in the space below.
